Founded in 2014, Brothers Before Others is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charity, composed of Active and Retired Law Enforcement officers. Our organization has its origins in a closed (private) group on Facebook, which gave its members the ability to share experiences that they feel only others in the field would understand. From this safe and supportive environment sprang various initiatives that allowed Brothers Before Others (BBO) to grow to the nationally recognized charity it is today.
BBO's original objective was to provide a floral arrangement (via the National Flower Fund) to every officer's department and family, ensuring that no Line of Duty Death would go unnoticed. Since the National Flower Fund's inception, there have been over 750 floral arrangements sent to date. With the help of its over 3000 members, BBO has been involved with many other charitable endeavors.
All of our work is accomplished through generous donations from our members, sponsors & partners, and sales of our products. Your support will undoubtedly help us continue our mission of reaching out to those in our profession in their time of need.
BBO is a family
BBO is not just a charity group, it is a family. It came together to give something that no one knew was needed: a flower fund that has given small smiles on families’ worst days. It has grown into so much more now: a true brother and sisterhood.

Brothers Before Others is exactly what it sounds like, an organization that puts people before anything else. Politics, Race, Religion, Gender are all put aside and the focus is on the individual person. It’s all about the quality of your character.
BBO holds true to its name
Brothers Before Others holds true to its name. A group of active and retired police officers who are committed to providing aid and comfort to families of fallen officers, to civilians in a time of need (like women and children in shelters, providing a Christmas they normally wouldn’t have), and offering support and benevolence to officers in crisis.
